Clinical Director

Michelle Falvey, LCSW, a graduate of Tufts University and the Boston College School of Social Work, is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, program administrator and university teacher dedicated to integrating the discoveries of neuroscience into the practices of mental health intervention in community based organizations serving our most vulnerable and at-risk populations. During her twenty years in the field of mental health, Michelle has provided clinical leadership increasingly informed by her learning and implementation of mind and brain-based treatment intervention.  She has developed a range of recognized mental health treatment and training programs, serving the Santa Barbara community in the position of clinical director for the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Domestic Violence Solutions, Sojourn Early Childhood Mental Health, and St. Vincent’s Family Strengthening Program.  Michelle is known for her ability to successfully translate the complexities of brain science into words and examples that allow colleagues, supervisees, and clients to learn the knowledge and skills that support the development of a healthy mind and brain.
